Questions parents ask

What does the PTA fund that the school doesn't?

Your donations pay for our librarian's salary, Art Masters, Pacific Symphony Class Act, field trips, assemblies, classroom technology, teacher stipends, and every family event on the calendar — none of which come from the district budget.

How can I donate?

Two ways: give online by card, or download the donation form (PDF) and return it to the front office with a check (payable to Roy O. Andersen PTA), or email it to AndersenElementaryPTA@gmail.com. Many employers match charitable gifts — the form has a section for that.

Is my donation tax deductible?

Yes. The Andersen PTA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, EIN #23-7306278. Your Stripe receipt works for tax purposes; email us if you need a formal letter or your employer matches gifts.

If I join, do I have to volunteer?

No. Membership is just membership — it supports the programs and gets you the family directory. Volunteering is separate, always optional, and always appreciated.

How do I reach my room parent or a committee chair?

Email AndersenElementaryPTA@gmail.com and we'll connect you. Committee chairs are listed in the directory above.

When and where are PTA meetings?

Tuesdays at 9:00 AM in the Multi-Purpose Room, roughly monthly — see "Coming up" for the next date. All parents and guardians are welcome, no membership required.
